McKenna Family Farm

Family, vegetables, celebration

Spring 2017

We were lucky that winter did not have much of a punch this year.  It is the last of March and we are already planning on planting in the field in just a week or so.  It looks like frost is past us and we can move ahead with planting.  This is a exciting time of the year for our farm.

We already have tomatoes and cucumbers planted in the high tunnel.  Planted them the first of March and they should have pickable fruit by late May.  Everything should be in full swing by the 3rd week of May.

So, we are planning on opening the barn May 16th this year.  Keep checking facebook in case that would change. However, everything looks like we will be picking tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and zucchini by then.

Once again we would like to thank you for supporting our local farm.  We will see you at the barn Tuesday thru Saturdays, at Branson Farmers Market on Tuesdays, and at Ozark Farmers Market on Thursdays.

Thanks,

Jean, Ed, E.J. Vicki, Maddie, and James
